Glossary — representative photograph

CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost)

The total cost to acquire one paying customer, including media spend and, where relevant, production cost.

LTV (Lifetime Value)

The total margin a customer is expected to generate over the course of their relationship with a business.

Attribution window

The time period after an ad interaction during which a resulting conversion is credited to that ad.

Server-side tracking

Tracking implemented on a server rather than solely in a visitor's browser, generally more resilient to browser privacy restrictions.
